Food and knowledge are the two things in life that should not be kept a secret!
I have discovered my passion for teaching 3 years ago, while holding sourdough workshops for the women in Costa Rica. Since then I have taught many people, from beginners to professionals. My focus is on naturally leavened products, long fermentations and, as much as possible, locally grown ingredients. More than recipes, I will teach you processes and techniques, I will show you how to read your dough and together we will explore the world of fermentation and how to control and manipulate it to your needs.
I primarily teach adults, but am looking forward to creating experiences for children and families too.

After three years living, baking and exploring the jungles of Costa Rica, and another ten years as a traveling baker, my family and I moved back to Portugal, my homeland. I want to keep building community around the table and sharing my passion for real bread and honest food with you here.
In the very beginnings of 2025, this vision comes true and WildCultures in Portugal is born! Nested in the beautiful mountains of Central Portugal, a small scale, home based sourdough bakery is on the rise. And I am thrilled to finally bake and break some serious sourdough bread with you all!
